Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patient health needs and develop appropriate care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, identifying changes and intervening promptly when necessary.
- Document patient care information accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health management, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting (New graduates welcome).
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting patients.
- Proficiency in computer skills and EHR systems.
