Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing a comprehensive nursing care plan.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and licensed nurse practitioners.
- Monitor patients' conditions continuously, recording vital signs and medical information.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
- Document all patient care services accurately and in compliance with facility policies.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations and code blue activations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
