Responsibilities
- Deliver High-Quality Patient Care: Assess patient needs, administer medications, and implement care plans under the supervision of physicians and charge nurses.
- Monitor Patient Status: Observe and report any changes in a patient's condition to the nursing supervisor or physician immediately.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient care, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records (EHR) in a timely manner.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to code blues and other medical emergencies within the department.
- Infection Control: Adhere to strict hospital protocols regarding infection prevention and safety measures.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required (PALS and CEN preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency in IV therapy, and excellent critical thinking abilities.
- Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with patients and families of diverse backgrounds.
- Technology: Proficient in using electronic medical record systems.
