Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in accordance with nursing standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions continuously, escalating critical issues immediately to the charge nurse or provider.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, medication management, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment while adhering to all hospital infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
