Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Conduct thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document clinical findings accurately and promptly.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Crisis Management: Respond effectively to medical emergencies and critical situations, ensuring patient safety and rapid intervention.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, post-discharge care, and health maintenance.
- Documentation: Maintain precise, up-to-date medical records in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting (New grads with strong externships may be considered).
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and strong critical thinking abilities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
