Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical examinations and taking detailed medical histories.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on clinical assessment and patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and response to interventions, escalating concerns to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred, Associate’s degree accepted).
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Attributes: Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer Proficiency: Ability to navigate electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.
