Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and maintain accurate, detailed medical records.
- Administer medications, treatments, and medications via various routes while strictly adhering to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and recovery progress, promptly alerting the healthcare team to any significant changes in condition.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, infection control measures, and environmental standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research activities.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment.
- Previous experience in a hospital setting is highly desirable.
