Responsibilities
- Provide direct, high-quality patient care by assessing patient needs, administering medications, and documenting vital signs accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, immediately reporting any changes or adverse reactions to the nursing supervisor.
- Assist with patient education, explaining treatment plans and answering questions to ensure patient understanding and comfort.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing unit while adhering to strict infection control protocols and hospital policies.
- Perform emergency procedures and assist in code blue situations as trained and directed.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred).
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help patients and families.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
