Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough physical assessments and develop individualized, compassionate care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vitals and promptly respond to any changes in clinical status or emergencies.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient outcomes.
- Education & Advocacy: Educate patients and their families on disease management, discharge planning, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care or medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient and family engagement.
