Job Overview
As our Remote RN, you will conduct virtual patient assessments, triage incoming medical concerns, and coordinate care plans using our secure telehealth platforms. You will serve as the first point of contact for patients seeking medical advice, ensuring they receive the appropriate level of care and resources.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual patient assessments via secure video or phone calls to evaluate symptoms and medical history.
- Triage patients based on urgency and direct them to appropriate in-person care or emergency services when necessary.
- Document patient interactions accurately and in real-time within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Provide evidence-based health education and medication management guidance to patients and caregivers.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Manage patient queues and prioritize incoming requests to optimize workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas (or compact state eligibility).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a clinical or telehealth setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms (e.g., Zoom for Healthcare, Doxy.me).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high levels of professional accountability.
