Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care utilizing evidence-based nursing practices and clinical protocols
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions for diverse patient populations
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute comprehensive care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately and maintain detailed medical records
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to regulatory standards
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols in all clinical settings
Qualifications
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license (RN)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ADN accepted with required certifications
- Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience in specialty area
- BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, or specialty certifications based on department
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems (EHR)
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care
