Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person triage assessments to determine the appropriate level of care.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to document patient interactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide patient education regarding symptoms, medications, and self-care instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical protocols and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with all state nursing regulations and hospital policies.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care or triage nursing experience preferred.
- Certification in Telehealth Nursing or similar is highly desirable.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.) required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
