Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive telephone and virtual triage assessments to determine patient acuity and appropriate level of care.
- Evaluate patient symptoms, medical history, and vital signs to provide accurate medical advice and care instructions.
- Document all patient interactions and clinical findings accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Identify urgent medical needs and facilitate timely referrals or emergency department admissions when necessary.
- Provide patient education regarding preventive care, medication management, and home health protocols.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical best practices.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, with specific triage experience preferred.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
