Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive triage assessments on incoming patients to determine the urgency of care and medical needs.
- Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to prioritize patient care and coordinate referrals to physicians and specialists.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes within the EMR system.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdepartmental teams to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Provide education and support to patients regarding their health conditions and self-care management.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a clinical or triage setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure in high-volume situations.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and computer systems.
