Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive symptom assessments via phone and secure messaging for inbound patient inquiries.
- Apply clinical judgment to triage patients based on urgency, prioritizing those in critical need.
- Recommend appropriate home care, over-the-counter remedies, or specialist referrals.
- Document all interactions accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with physicians and other care team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide clear health education and instructions to patients and families.
- Adhere to all state regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and company protocols.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications are required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in triage, urgent care, or telehealth nursing.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations.
- Proficient in using EMR/EHR systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
