Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments according to hospital protocols.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient charts in compliance with legal standards.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on post-treatment care, disease management, and health promotion.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care standards.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic and patient-centered care.
- Technology: Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
