Responsibilities
- Assess patients' health status by performing physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians according to established protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and care after discharge.
- Document patient care services accurately and in a timely manner within electronic health records.
- Respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions during crises.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Indiana.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred depending on unit.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and adherence to hospital policies and safety standards.
- Certification in a specialty area (e.g., Med-Surg, ICU) is a plus.
