Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vitals and clinical status, reporting any significant changes immediately to the charge nurse or physician.
- Provide patient and family education to ensure understanding of diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and efficient patient care delivery.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Maryland (MD RN License).
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
