Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough patient assessments to formulate individualized nursing care plans and monitor patient progress.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to code blue emergencies and critical situations, demonstrating critical thinking and leadership.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of New Mexico.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), and excellent communication abilities.
