Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patient health conditions by taking vital signs, conducting physical exams, and reviewing medical histories.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Monitor patients' progress and response to treatment, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond to emergency situations with calmness and efficiency, following hospital protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid and active RN License issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment under pressure.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems.
- Candidates must pass a background check and drug screening.
