Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care and monitor vital signs, symptoms, and clinical status continuously.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the department.
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing unit environment.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
