Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure accurate health records.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians and licensed providers.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with daily living activities and hygiene.
- Document patient care activities, responses to treatment, and changes in condition in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Respond to emergency situations and initiate appropriate life-saving protocols immediately.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and disease prevention strategies.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Ohio.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred for this urgent hire role.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient safety and quality care.
- Ability to lift and move patients weighing up to 250 lbs as needed.
