Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assess patient needs, administer medications, and implement treatment plans under the direction of physicians.
- Monitor Patient Status: Continuously monitor vital signs and clinical status, responding immediately to any changes or emergencies.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with hospital standards.
- Emergency Response: Effectively respond to code blues and other medical emergencies with calm and precision.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, and post-discharge care.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred; new graduates with excellent clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical assessments.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
