Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough physical assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Monitoring: Continuously monitor vital signs and patient status, identifying changes and intervening promptly when necessary.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication management, and post-discharge care.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New York State Department of Education.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent verbal communication skills.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and medical software.
