Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure patient safety and well-being.
- Care Planning: Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments accurately and in compliance with hospital protocols and legal standards.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide immediate critical care interventions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely patient records and clinical documentation.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Pennsylvania.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Diploma acceptable.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
