Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with hospital policies.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond quickly to any changes in condition to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care services accurately and in a timely manner.
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
