Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to identify changes in health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs and medical history.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment options, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Document all clinical findings, treatments, and patient responses accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Respond immediately to medical emergencies and assist in code blue situations when required.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Kansas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
