Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status continuously, alerting physicians to any critical changes or deteriorating conditions.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and hospital procedures.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Kansas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required for critical care units).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital setting (preferred for specialized roles).
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make quick, sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift equipment for extended periods as required by the nursing role.
