Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assessment, medication administration, and treatment coordination
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and document clinical observations accurately in EHR systems
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive care
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain regulatory compliance standards
- Participate in emergency response situations and rapid assessment protocols
- Maintain precise medical records and ensure HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Kansas
- BSN degree or equivalent experience (ADN with 2+ years considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of acute care or specialty nursing experience
- Proficiency in electronic health records (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
