Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with evidence-based practices and unit-specific protocols
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety standards
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina RN license (or compact license with NC residency)
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN strongly preferred)
- Minimum 1-2 years of acute care experience (critical care, ER, or step-down preferred)
- Current BLS certification; ACLS and/or PALS required for specific units
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic experience highly valued)
- Exceptional critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Strong communication abilities with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
