Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor health status closely.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing standards.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
- Respond to medical emergencies and critical situations with composure.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to families.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the District of Columbia.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred (New graduates welcome to apply).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health record systems (EHR).
