Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across diverse units including ICU, ER, and surgical services
- Administer medications and treatments with precision according to established protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Document patient assessments and care activities accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and hospital safety standards
- Mentor junior nursing staff during high-acuity weekend shifts
Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license (or compact license)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Expertise in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Weekend shift availability (Sat/Sun 7a-7p)
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
