Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care in our acute care and specialty units during weekend shifts
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while maintaining accurate documentation
- Monitor patient vitals and respond rapidly to changes in clinical status
- Provide patient and family education on health conditions and treatment protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous process enhancement
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital policies
- Support new team members through mentorship and knowledge sharing
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (required) with no disciplinary actions
- BSN degree preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required); TNCC or PALS preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience in telemetry or ICU
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Exceptional communication skills for patient/family interactions
- Ability to work independently during weekend coverage periods
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
