Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care during weekend shifts (Sat/Sun) in assigned units
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision
- Monitor patient vital signs and document electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Mentor new staff and ensure compliance with hospital policies
- Participate in weekend shift huddles and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX RN license required)
- Associates or Bachelors in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- 2+ years of acute care experience in hospital setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications (or obtain within 30 days)
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs
