Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care across diverse medical units including ICU, ER, and Med-Surg
- Administer medications and treatments with precise attention to safety protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records
- Provide patient education on health management and preventive care
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control standards
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Mentor new staff and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Wisconsin (or compact state)
- BSN degree preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
- Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and unit priorities
