Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to safety protocols and hospital policy.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition immediately to the charge nurse or physician.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and their families during critical times.
- Participate in unit rounds and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and rotating holidays as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical record systems.
