Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for assigned patients with diverse medical conditions
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor vital signs and patient responses to interventions using advanced clinical judgment
- Educate patients and families on disease management and discharge planning
- Adhere to strict HIPAA compliance and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in weekend shift rotations covering Saturday/Sunday rotations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Missouri (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered
- Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience in med-surg or telemetry
- ACLS/BLS certifications required; PALS preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams
