Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, responding promptly to any changes or emergencies.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure seamless patient transitions.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Provide compassionate patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
