Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and administer medications according to physician orders.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care and health management.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments and treatments.
- Ensure a safe and clean patient environment in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies within the unit.
- Participate in unit rounds and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays as required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for off-site duties.
