Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and state regulations.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, escalating concerns immediately to the charge nurse or physician.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the wider interdisciplinary team.
- Document all patient interactions, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and visitors.
- Provide patient and family education regarding discharge planning and post-acute care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting (preferred).
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
