Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to a diverse adult and geriatric patient population during weekend shifts.
- Perform accurate assessments, administer medications and treatments, and monitor patient responses according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient care activities, vital signs, and changes in condition accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to all infection control and safety regulations.
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and code activations with confidence.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred, with specific experience in Med-Surg or Telemetry a plus.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Commitment to the highest standards of patient safety and ethical practice.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a cohesive team.
