Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond immediately to emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in compliance with infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred, with acute care experience highly valued.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities during shifts.
