Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals, symptoms, and response to care interventions, escalating concerns immediately.
- Document patient care activities, clinical notes, and changes in condition accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and visitors.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and unit priorities.
