Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in ER/ICU units with 4:1 patient ratios
- Administer medications and perform IV therapy per protocols
- Collaborate with physicians on weekend emergency cases
- Document patient assessments and care plans in Epic EMR
- Mentor new nurses during weekend rotations
- Participate in weekend rapid response team activations
- Maintain JCAHO compliance during off-hour coverage
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (compact license accepted)
- 2+ years acute care experience preferred
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- EPIC EMR proficiency mandatory
- Spanish bilingual certification a plus
- Weekend availability (Sat/Sun 7am-7pm)
- Strong trauma/critical care background
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
