Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in med-surg/oncology units with weekend-only responsibility
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies per physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document clinical observations and interventions in Epic EMR system
- Mentor junior nursing staff during weekend rotations
- Respond rapidly to emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Participate in weekend quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (Compact license accepted)
- BSN degree preferred; ADN with 2+ years experience considered
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience in med-surg/oncology
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic medical records
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
