Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and triage to ensure accurate diagnosis and care planning.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatments, escalating concerns immediately to the charge nurse or provider.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the broader healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and care instructions.
- Participate in weekend rounds, unit huddles, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred, though new graduates may be considered.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities efficiently.
