Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings with weekend focus
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient conditions and document electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and hospital policies
- Precept new staff and participate in weekend-only committees
- Ensure safe patient handling and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active California RN license
- BSN preferred (ADN with 2+ years experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience
- Weekend shift availability (Sat/Sun, 12-hour shifts)
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- EMR proficiency (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
