Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing a comprehensive nursing care plan.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient condition and response to treatment, escalating critical issues immediately.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient data accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and home care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nebraska.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
