Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in medical/surgical units during weekend shifts
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans
- Document patient assessments and interventions in EMR systems
- Monitor vital signs and respond to emergency situations
- Mentor new staff and uphold quality standards
- Participate in weekend-only quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active CA RN license (required)
- BSN or associate degree with 2+ years acute care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Weekend shift availability (Sat/Sun, 7a-7p)
- Electronic health record proficiency (Epic preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience in trauma or telemetry units (preferred)
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
