Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to assigned patients across diverse units
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and critical incidents
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
- Precept new nurses and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Utilize EMR systems for accurate documentation and care coordination
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN license (RN) in good standing
- BSN or Associate's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong clinical skills in patient assessment and intervention
- Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
